Easy Bread Pudding Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup butter
- 3 eggs
- 2 ½ cups whole milk
- 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg (ground)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup sugar (white or brown, depending on taste preference)
- 3 cups of bread (cubed or slice into small pieces)
Directions:
1. Preheat your oven to 350 F, and grease the pan.
2. Pour the milk over a medium-sized saucepan. Heat the milk until there is film that forms. Add the milk and butter, then, stir until the butter had melted. Let it cool for a few minutes.
3. In a bowl, place the eggs, cinnamon, sugar, vanilla and nutmeg together. Use an electric mixer to mix the ingredients for 1 minute. Pour the heated milk mixture.
4. Put the bread in a greased casserole.
5. Fill the top of the bread with batter.
6. Place the bread in the oven, and baked for 45 to 50 minutes or until set.
7. Remove from oven.
Ingredients for the sauce:
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 cup whole milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- Salt
Directions:
1. Mix all the above ingredients together.
2. In a saucepan, pour the mixture, stir for 3 minutes until the sugar has melted.
3. Set it aside about 5 minutes before pouring over the bread pudding.
